Muammar Gaddafi and Charice Pempengco to do a movie together? Yes!

Because of the astounding success of the recently concluded Cinemalaya 2011, a group of film enthusiasts calling themselves Association of Moviegoers (ASSMO) decided to stage another film fest just for this month of September. Thirteen films are participating in this event. Aside from the ten regular films, there would be two historical biopics and another one featuring international celebrities, too. All movies will be shown in cinemas nationwide, including Cubao’s Alta Cinema and Quiapo’s Ginto Theater.

PS: Last year, my list “The eight must-see films of 2010, starring Filipino politicians!!!” was included by Philippine Star’s Boo Chanco in his April 9, 2010 column.
