PLM grad tops June 2014 architecture licensure exam

A graduate from the state-run Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila topped the Architecture Licensure Examination (ALE) held last June 13 and 15.

According to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC),  1,100 out of 1,803 passed  passed the June 2014 ALE. The Board of Architecture was chaired by Rolando L. Cordero and has two members, Yolanda D. Reyes and Fidel Jose R. Siapno.

Reodrick Paul Velasco of PLM topped all examiners with a rating of 85.60. Aaron James Carlos of the Technological University of the Philippines and Jay Mark Estavillo of University of the Philippines Diliman both placed second with a score of 85.40.

Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration is scheduled from June 30 to July 2, 2014. Applicants are required to bring the following:

1) duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal,

2) current Community Tax Certificate (cedula),

3) 1 passport size picture (colored with white background and complete name tag),

4) 2 sets of metered documentary stamps, and

5) 1 short brown envelope with name and profession

Successful examinees should also pay an initial registration fee of P600 plus an annual registration fee of P450 which will be valid from 2014 to 2017. Upcoming architects should also personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
