2014 Metro Manila Film Festival awards – full list of winners

Three movies, the historical film “Bonifacio, ang Unang Pangulo,” as well as “English Only, Please” and “Kubot: Aswang Chronicles 2” bagged the most coveted recognitions during the 40th Metro Manila Film Festival,  which was held Saturday night.

“Bonifacio” took home the best picture award while Derek Ramsay and Jennylyn Mercado of “English Only, Please” were recognized as the festival’s best actor and actress, respectively. Curiously, the movies which are currently dominating the box office scene were essentially blanked out during the awards night.
