Century Tuna, the country’s leading brand for canned tuna products, turned up the summer heat to greater heights as it introduced to the public its newest brand ambassadors.
Unlike in previous years, the company tapped this 2015 not just one or two but four additional endorsers: Paulo Avelino, James Reid, Elmo Magalona, and Jessy Mendiola. The four were presented to members of the media and selected bloggers last March 17 at the New World Hotel in Makati City.
In a statement, Greg Banzon, general manager of Century Pacific Food Corporation, said that the company’s advocacy for physical fitness “requires only the most influential ambassadors who can inspire others through their sexy bodies and healthy lifestyle.”
He added: “This year, we strengthened our campaign with our newest batch of endorsers who have also undergone stunning body transformations.”
During the event, the four took turns in describing the work they did to achieve and maintain the enviable body they are now famous for.
Paulo related how he makes it a point to remain engaged in numerous recreational activities like badminton, rock climbing, and jogging. “I hope to become an inspiration to those who have often expressed admiration of my physique,” he shared.
For his part, James reminded everyone that he was thin, weak, and asthma-stricken several years ago. He shot to fame in 2009 as a winner of Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition. “Through swimming and gymnastics, and a healthy diet, I’ve become more buffed. I’m definitely proud of the new me,” he said.
Apart from the introduction of their four newest endorsers of Century Tuna, the company also used the opportunity to show to the press their latest summer-inspired television commercial.
Paulo, James, Elmo, and Jessy no doubt are among the hottest young celebrities in the country right now. Paulo is one of the lead stars in the new ABS-CBN primetime drama “Bridges of Love” while James recently starred in the movie “Para sa Hopeless Romantic.”
On the other hand, Elmo’s is still fresh from the successful run of his TV series “More Than Words” in GMA 7. Jessy meanwhile is still remembered for playing the title role in “Maria Mercedes” and for showing her acting chops in the October 2014 movie “The Trial.”
