Zayn Malik of One Direction WILL NOT perform in the Philippines and Indonesia
Zayn Malik, one of the five members of the British singing group “One Direction,” has abruptly decided to no longer participate in the group’s ongoing “On The Road Again” World Tour and fly back to the United Kingdom instead.
This means he will not be part of One Direction’s upcoming concerts in Manila, Philippines (scheduled for March 21 and 22) and Indonesia (March 25). This sudden development was announced late Thursday night, Philippine time.
“Zayn has signed off (because of) stress and is flying back to the UK to recuperate. The band wish him well and will continue with their performances in Manila and Jakarta,” One Direction publicist Simon Jones said in a statement posted online.

The 22-year-old Malik is currently battling rumors of infidelity to his fiance Perrie Edwards after photos of him sharing private moments with a woman identified as Lauren Richardson in Thailand became widely circulated on the media.
In a tweet, Zayn reiterated his love for his fiance although he said sorry “for what it looks like,” referring to his photos with Richardson. He also appeared to blame his apparent indiscretion to his young age.

British newspaper The Daily Mail speculated that Malik may be able to rejoin the group for its upcoming shows in Johannesburg, South Africa and Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Malik’s decision not to join One Direction as they perform in Manila and Jakarta came on the same day the Philippine Bureau of Immigration (BI) ordered him and his band mate Louis Tomlinson to post a cash bond of P200,000 each as a condition to being issued a special working permit.
BI spokesperson Elaine Tan said this decision is based on the request of the group Anti-Drugs Advocate, Laban ng Pamilyang Pilipino, Inc. (ADA). The legal basis for this imposition was not specified however.
