Pacquiao-Marquez III fight day predictions

Being a non-afficionado of boxing, I am not in a position to give an educated prediction of who will win the Pacquiao-Marquez bout tomorrow, though I have a gutfeel that it is going to go down the wire once again. Anyway, expect the following events to happen tomorrow:

Pacquiao vs Marquez III - PacMan all the way!

Morning –

DZBB (GMA 7’s radio station) will begin airing the undercards. Most likely, it will be Joel Reyes Zobel leading the coverage. They will be on the phone interviewing the likes of Dennis Principe, Manny Pinol, and Ronnie Nathanielsz.

Expect to see this advertisements: Alaxan FR, Elastoseal, Family Rugby Alcohol (hindi lang pampamilya, pang-sports pa!), Motolite, and Smart, to name just five.

Around noon –

The Pacquiao-Marquez fight begins. Aling Dionesia Pacquiao will be in the chapel of their home – praying the rosary – along with her kumares. She’s wearing white, by the way.

1PM – Now, this depends on the winner of the bout. If Pacquiao is victrious, expect Gov. Chait Singson and other Filipino politicos to climb in the boxing ring to raise his hands.

ABS-CBN will break the news ahead of GMA 7 (spoiler mode).

Within the next few hours:

Malacanang spokesperson Abigail Valte will send a message to this effect: “Once again, our beloved PacMan has proven that Filipinos can excel against anyone around the world. We urge Filipinos to cntinue to be united and inspired by this victory.”

Aling Dionesia once again fainted. She comes back to her senses a few moments after since no one is willing to administer CPR on her.

Floyd Mayweather will be going on Twitter to say that “the little fella” will never stand a chance against him. The pretty boy’s father will agree.

Radio stations will be playing “Para Sayo Ang Laban na ‘To.”

GMA 7 will air the bout three hours after the winner has been announced.

Filipinos throughout the world will be erupting in celebration. Yahoo!

Within the next few days:

Pacquiao will be dominating the headlines for the entire week – unless the Supreme Court decides that Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo can seek treatment overseas.

Both Alfredo Lim and Lito Atienza will be organizing a victory parade for Pacquiao. Wait, saan magpapaparada si Atienza?

People will once again speculate about Pacquiao’s political plans. (Manny for President – 2022?)

Another visit to Malacanang for the Pacquiaos

Manny and Jinkee’s three-week voluntary sex abstinence will be coming to an end.

PS: I have not thought about any scenario in the event Pacquiao loses. Will that happen? 🙂
