Class suspensions for August 22 2015 due to Typhoon ‘Ineng’

In anticipation of torrential rains and possible flash floods caused by typhoon “Ineng” (international name: Goni) and the enhanced southwest monsoon or habagat, some local government units have already announced class suspensions for tomorrow, August 22.
According to the 11PM storm bulletin issued by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), “Ineng” carries maximum sustained winds of 160 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 195 kph. It is moving north northeast at 11 kilometers per hour.
It is projected to be just 70 kilometers east of Basco, Batanes. It is expected to cross Balintang Channel before proceeding to Taiwan and Japan. It will be outside the Philippine area of responsibility by Monday morning.
The weather bureau also placed storm warnings in the following areas:
Signal #3
Batanes, Babuyan, and Calayan Group of Islands
Signal #2
Northern Cagayan, Ilocos Norte, Apayao
Signal #1
Rest of Cagayan, Isabela, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Kalinga
While the slow-moving typhoon poses a direct threat to residents of extreme Northern Luzon, those living in the western section of the country including Central Luzon, Metro Manila, and even Panay provinces can also expect heavy monsoon rains throughout the weekend.

Batanes (by virtue of Executive Order 66, which suspends classes in areas under Signal #3)
Cavite (as announced by Governor Jonvic Remulla)
Caloocan City
Malabon City
Marikina City
Muntinlupa City
Paranaque City
Pasay City
Quezon City
San Juan City
