SEVEN LONG WEEKENDS | List of holidays for 2017 according to Malacañang

With just a little over four months left before 2016 ends, Malacañang has already released the official list of national holidays for the 2016. This is stipulated through President Rodrigo Duterte’s Proclamation 50, which was signed last August 16.

There will also be a total of 17 regular and special non-working holidays for 2016.  Apart from those, there are also two Muslim holidays that are observed nationwide – Eid’l Fitr and Eid’l Adha. As in previous years, there will be separate holiday proclamations for those from Office of the President based on the recommendation of the National Council for Muslim Filipinos.

Based on Proclamation 50, there will be at least seven three-day weekends next year, including the Lenten, Christmas, and New Year holidays.
