NINE LONG WEEKENDS | List of holidays for 2018 according to Malacañang
With just a little over five months remaining in 2017, Malacañang has already published the official list of national holidays for the year 2017. This is mentioned through President Rodrigo Duterte’s Proclamation 269, which was signed last July 17.
There will be a total of 18 regular and special non-working holidays for 2017. Other than those, there is also the two Muslim holidays that are observed nationwide – Eid’l Fitr and Eid’l Adha. As mandated by law, there will be separate holiday proclamations for those from Office of the President once the National Council for Muslim Filipinos makes a recommendation regarding the date.
Based on Proclamation 269, there will be at least nine three-day weekends next year, including the Lenten, Christmas, and New Year holidays.

August 27, 2018 – National Heroes Day (Last Monday of August)*
November 30, 2018 – Bonifacio Day (Friday)*
December 25, 2018 – Christmas Day (Tuesday)
December 30, 2018 – Rizal Day (Sunday)

February 16, 2018 – Chinese New Year (Friday)*
February 25, 2018 – EDSA People Power Anniversary (Sunday)
