DBM guidelines for the release of productivity enhancement incentive 2017

All qualified government employees will be receiving a productivity enhancement incentive (PEI) amounting to P5,000 beginning December 15 2017. This is stipulated in section 6 of then-President Benigno Aquino III’s Executive Order 201.

This annual cash gift was first given towards the end of 2016. In his executive order, the Aquino administration explained that the purpose of institutionalizing the PEI is to improve the government employees’ productivity.

In its guidelines released last year, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) stressed that government employees who have been in service for at least four months as of November 30 and who are still in service as of that date are entitled to receive the full PEI.
