Tritosroda Theater Productions presents “Kalasag”

Tritosroda Theater Productions, a theater company founded by industry veterans Juan Carlo Tarobal and Diane Kristine Bautista, will have its first-ever production this November titled “Kalasag: Koleksyon ng mga Nakabiting Tinig sa Saliw ng Oyayi.” 

As the title suggests, “Kalasag” is a collection of eight short theater plays created by TTP’s collaborating theater companies, organizations, community groups, and freelance artists which include Artist Laboratory Productions, Baon Collective, Karl Medina, Mark Mirando, The UP Repertory Company, The Scenius Pro, Labi Productions, and Tanghalang Aranzazu. Karen Gaerlan developed the production’s concept and overall direction.

These 10-15 minute plays will have the following sub-themes:

Pangarap
Panaginip
Bangungot
Ilusyon
Imahinasyon
Hiraya
Handuraw
Mahika Realistika

Once the eight plays are done, a commemorative performance shall serve as a summation and
conclusion to close the night’s show.

In a press statement, the TTP explained that this mini-productions collaboration aims to “rekindle hope and inspire the fulfillment of aspirations and endeavors of every Filipino dreamer. ” They added: “Through this collaborative devise, we, as partners shall believe that, ‘The things we dream of and wish for define us.'”

Tickets for “Kalasag” are set for P500, with 20% off for students. It will have its second leg of its theatrical run from November 21 to 26, 2017 (7:00 PM) at the open grounds of the Bantayog ng mga Bayani in Quezon City.
