AFTERSHOCKS EXPECTED: Magnitude 5.8 quake hits Occidental Mindoro, Metro Manila, parts of Luzon

A magnitude 5.8 earthquake struck the province of Occidental Mindoro Wednesday morning, with tremors felt in other parts of Luzon including Metro Manila.

According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology or PHIVOLCS, the epicenter of the earthquake is near the town of Abra de Ilog, Occidental Mindoro. It happened 9:09 AM, Philippine time. The agency warned of possible aftershocks, even though no damages are expected to be reported.
