#WalangPasok – Work and class suspensions for July 22 2021

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration or PAGASA has raised signal #1 in the province of Batanes as well as Babuyan Islands late Wednesday night as typhoon “Fabian” (international name: “In-fa”) edged closer to these areas. “Fabian” is expected to continue enhancing southwest monsoon rains elsewhere in Luzon throughout Thursday, July 22.

Yesterday, government offices such as the Supreme Court as well as the Senate ordered the suspension of work by afternoon because of inclement weather. In the province of Batanes, classes in all levels in all levels were suspended.

It must be kept in mind that there are students who are having classes during this time as part of the midyear term or because their respective schools started the school year earlier than the rest. Hence, it is imperative for local government executives to still make announcement of class suspensions.
