A vote for P3PWD party list is a vote to send Rowena Guanzon to Congress – #BotongPinoy2016

For better or for worse, we are allowed to vote for just one party-list group. For this 2022 elections, The Filipino Scribe will be voting for Komunidad ng Pamilya, Pasyente at Persons With Disabilities (P3PWD), which is listed as #54 on the ballot.

TFS previously voted for the LGBT rights organization Ang Ladlad during the 2010 and 2013 elections and the Alliance of Concerned Teachers for 2016 and 2019.

There is no doubt that PWDs need representation in our legislature. That is also why the candidacy for senator of Carmen Zubiaga deserves serious consideration.

However, there is one more relevant point in favor of P3PWD party-list. According to retired Commission on Elections (COMELEC) commissioner Rowena Guanzon, she will be the one representing the party if it wins the necessary votes to have a seat in Congress.

Although the party already submitted a list of nominees, Guanzon explained in a Facebook video that she can still end up as the party’s representative in Congress via substitution if they receive the necessary votes during next week’s elections.

Guanzon will definitely be a strong voice for PWDs and their loved ones if she gets a seat in Congress.  She would also be a staunch voice of oppositiob during what is likely to be the presidency of Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.
