CAPSTAT 2022: Helping statistics majors jumpstart their careers

Worried about the future? Fear not, UP Career Assistance Program – Statistics (UP CAPSTAT) got you covered.

They have prepared a wonderful surprise for you. UP CAPSTAT together with University of the Philippines School of Statistics Student Council (UP Stat SC) has recently announced a series of events titled “CAPSTAT 2022: Generating Moments,” which will begin on April 25 and run until May 7. This will be the second consecutive year that they will hold it virtually.

In this event, you can attend a variety of activities that you can look forward to. We have put together a list of events coming up for you during CAPSTAT 2022. The line-up includes a Resume Bank, Career Talks, Workshops, Career Fair, and a Mixer.

MAGNIFY: Resume Bank (April 20 – May 7, 2022)
Compilation of resumes by willing participants which will be made available to partner companies.

TRAVERSE: Career Talk (April 25 and April 27, 2022)
Series of talks aiming to help students be cognizant of fields they can venture into.

UNFOLD: Workshop (April 29, 2022)
Series of workshops to aid in honing the capabilities of the students in finding future careers. Featured discussion topics are related to finalizing resumes and preparing for job interviews.

GATEWAY: Career Fair (May 2, May 4, and May 6, 2022)
Interested companies will be given an opportunity to showcase their companies’ products, goals, and services, as well as to present possible job and internship openings to the participants.

VANTAGE: Mixer (May 7, 2022)
Small group discussions with 8 to 10 attendees per group, where participants can ask questions to know what to expect with work and career after graduation. This creates an opportunity for attendees to interact with company representatives and mentors.
