CAREER UPDATE: Joining the UP Open University as a full-time faculty member

I am very thrilled to share with all of you that I am now teaching full-time as an assistant professor for the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) Faculty of Education starting 11 October 2022.

Prior to the official start of academic year 2022-2023, the UPOU administration held an orientation program for us and there I met Dr. Melinda Bandalaria, the Chancellor. I was assigned to be the faculty-in-charge for Kasaysayan 1.

After six years teaching at the senior high school level, I knew that the time has come for me to move forward to a new and better direction in my professional life.

With this new role, I am now well-positioned to pursue more research and publication opportunities for further career advancement. That also includes my advocacy for the defense of Philippine history.

I am truly grateful for this opportunity, and I will do my best to live up to the trust given to me by the UPOU administration and to everyone who agreed to be my character reference.

I will do my best to live up to what is expected of me!
