#WalangPasok – No classes on 25 July 2022 for Marcos’ first SONA?

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. will be having his first-ever state of the nation address (SONA) this 25 July 2022.
The day will begin with the official opening of the 19th Congress. By the afternoon, both Senators and members of the House of Representatives will have a joint session at the Batasang Pambansa in Quezon City where Marcos will deliver his first SONA.
It has already been reported that as much as 21,000 government security officers will be in the area to during the political event. In connection with this, Mayor Josefina “Joy” Belmonte of Quezon City has announced the suspension of classes for 25 July 2022 covering all levels.
Belmonte’s announcement, which was first posted through the city’s official social media platforms Friday night, appears to cover both face-to-face and online classes since there was no statement to the contrary.
