#WalangPasok – Class suspensions for November 21 2023

(UPDATED as of NOVEMBER 19, 12:00 PM)

A number of local government units (LGU) as well as education institutions around the counry have announced the suspension of face-to-face classes for November 21, Tuesday, as a response to the jeepney strike announced by the leaders of the transport group Pagkakaisa ng mga Samahan ng Tsuper at Operator Nationwide (PISTON).

For its part, the Department of Education issued a statement last Saturday that it will not suspend classes – leaving the decision to the discretion of LGUs and private school administrators.

Apart from the transport strike, the aftermath of the earthquake that hit parts of Mindanao last Friday and the persistent inclement weather may also prompt class suspension declarations. The Filipino Scribe will be updating this post if and when new information becomes available.
