#WalangPasok: No face-to-face classes on December 6 2023 – DepEd

The Department of Education (DepEd) will be launching a nationwide tree-planting activity titled “DepEd 236,000 Trees – A Christmas Gift for the Children” this 6 December 2023, Wednesday.

In connection with this, the agency has announced that face-to-face classes in all public preschool, elementary, and high schools around the country will be suspended for that day.

The shift to asynchronous mode is stipulated in DepEd Memorandum#69-2023 which was signed by Vice President and concurrent Education Secretary last November 17. Click here to read the full text of DepEd Memorandum#69-2023.

The Filipino Scribe will be updating this post if and when other local government units around the country announce the suspension of classes in their respective areas especially in the aftermath of last Saturday’s earthquake that struck eastern Mindanao.
