DepEd 2024 graduation theme
With school year 2023-2024 coming to an end by May, the Department of Education (DepEd) is expected to release the official theme to be used for the 2024 graduation ceremonies in public nursery, kindergarten, elementary, and high schools across the Philippines soon.

It can be recalled that last February, Vice President and concurrent Education Secretary Sara Duterte-Carpio released Department Order No. 3-2024 which mandated that school year 2023-2024 should end by May 31 – two weeks shorter than scheduled – to pave the way for the opening of school year 2024-2025 by late July.
In the same order, it was stipulated that the end-of-school-year rites must be held between May 29 to 31, 2024. It can also be held by May 31 only in consultation with parents.
The uptick in cases of whooping cough or pertussis in many parts of the country is not likely to force DepEd to do away with organizing in-person graduation ceremonies, though wearing face masks may be recommended.
