Located in Barangay San Isidro, Oriental Mindoro, Hollywood Palm Beach Hotel and Resort is just a ten-minute walk away from the famed White Beach of Puerto Galera. Given that there are dozens upon dozens of similar hotels in the area, what makes Hollywood Palm Beach standout from the rest?
First is its relatively peaceful location and good ambiance. Tourists should not fret over the aforementioned fact that this resort is about ten minutes away from the beach. During my first visit to Puerto Galera over two years ago, I was rather annoyed in the place that my friend and I chose.
It may be a stone’s throw away from the beach, but I am not happy that the place is comparable to a house situated near an expressway. While the beach side is always expected to be bustling with activity, perhaps you’d like your chosen hotel place to be tranquil to a certain extent. Luckily, I felt that during our stay in Hollywood Hotel. Plus, walking isn’t bad, right?

The second plus factor for Hollywood Palm Beach Hotel and Resort is the ambiance of its premises and the amenities it offers. Their swimming pool is surrounded by cottages, sunbathing chairs, assorted wooden furniture, and even small trees. The place is so good it might be tempting to skip the White Beach altogether (don’t do that, of course!).

According to PuertoGaleraOnline.com, Hollywood Palm Beach Hotel has 50 rooms with up to four queen-sized beds. It also has tents, and a music and sports bar, which is very good for more recreational activities. Its fine-dining restaurant can accommodate up to 300 people especially during special occasions. And in case of power interruptions, the hotel maintains a 24-hour standby type generator ready for use.
