National Teachers Month theme 2022 – “Gurong Pilipino, Dangal ng Sambayanang Pilipino”
The Philippines began its annual celebration of the National Teachers Month (NTM) last September 5. It will run until October 5, which has been declared by the United Nations as World Teachers Day.
This month-long celebration was started in 2011 as mandated by then-President Benigno Aquino III’s Proclamation 242.
In connection with this, the Department of Education (DepEd) has announced that the theme for this year’s NTM is “Gurong Pilipino, Dangal ng Sambayanang Pilipino.”
The agency elaborated: “Ating bigyang-pugay ang husay at kadakilaan ng mga Pilipinong guro na patuloy na nagbibigay ng hindi matatawarang dedikasyon para sa pag-abot ng pangarap ng bawat batang Pilipino” (“Let’s recognize the excellence and greatness of Filipino teachers who give unparalleled dedication in helping the Filipino youth achieve their dreams”).
