MIDYEAR BREAK: No classes in all DepEd schools from January 24-30, 2024

Students in public elementary and high schools all over the country will have a one-week midyear break beginning 24 January 2024, Wednesday.

The school break will go on until January 30, with classes set to resume the following day, Wednesday. This is stipulated in the Department of Education’s (DepEd) school calendar for academic year 2023-2024 signed by Vice President and concurrent Education Secretary Sara Duterte-Carpio. The current school year started last August 2023 and will run until June 2024.

For their part, schools are required to organize midyear performance review and evaluation (MPRE) as well as in-service training or INSET for public school teachers during these days.
