#WalangPasok – Class suspensions for May 27 2024

Certain local government units have announced class suspensions for May 27, Monday, with a huge part of Luzon still experiencing the onslaught of severe tropical storm “Aghon” (international name: Ewiniar).

According to Department of Education order #37 series of 2022 signed by Vice President and concurrent Education Secretary Sara Duterte-Carpio, both in-person and online classes are automatically suspended up to senior high school in local government units where a storm warning signal has been raised. Meanwhile, local government executives have the discretion to suspend classes in their respective areas if they deem it necessary.

As of 8:00 PM of May 27, PAGASA has raised the following areas under storm warning signals:

Polillo Islands

Signal #2:
Aurora
Northern and central portions of Quezon
Laguna
Eastern portion of Batangas
Eastern portion of Rizal
Northern portion of Camarines Norte

Signal #1:
Eastern portion of Isabela
Eastern portion of Quirino
Eastern portion of Nueva Vizcaya
Eastern portion of Nueva Ecija
Eastern portion of Pampanga
Southeastern portion of Bataan
Bulacan
Metro Manila
Rest of Rizal
Cavite
Rest of Batangas
Rest of Quezon
Northeastern portion of Oriental Mindoro
Marinduque
Rest of Camarines Norte
Northern portion of Camarines Sur
