#WalangPasok – Class suspensions for April 4 2024

Various local government executives around the country have announced the suspension of face-to-face classes for 4 April 2024, Thursday, because of extreme heat.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported the start of the warm and dry season in the Philippines late last month. The agency added that different parts of the country will experience heat index of above 42°C starting from 10:00 AM, and this temperature is already characterized as dangerous.

The Filipino Scribe will be updating this post if and when other local government units and education institutions make similar announcements.

Bulacan – Until April 6
Negros Oriental
Saranggani – Until Apirl 19
Sultan Kudarat – Until April 15
Parts of Cebu – Liloan (public schools only)
Parts of Pampanga – Angeles City, Mabalacat
Parts of Pangasinan – San Jacinto
Parts of South Cotabato – Polomolok, Santo Nino, Surallah, Tantangan (afternoon shift only), Tboli

Bacolod City
Iloilo City

UP TO SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL:

Parts of Cebu – Naga, Talisay
Parts of Pampanga – San Fernando City
Parts of Pangasinan – Manaoag, Mangaldan, Santa Barbara
Parts of South Cotabato – Tupi
