Several local government units and education institutions have announced the suspension of  face-to-face classes for May 3, Friday, due to extreme heat.

The Filipino Scribe will be updating this post if and when other local government units and education institutions make similar announcements for 3 May 2024.


Manila – Public schools only, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila and Universidad de Manila
Caloocan – Public schools only
Malabon – Public schools only
Pasay – Public and private schools
Navotas – Public and private schools

Angeles City – Public and private schools

Parts of Cavite – Imus, Dasmariñas, Cavite City, Trece Martires (until May 4) – public and private schools
Parts of Laguna – San Pedro (until May 4),
Parts of Rizal – Morong (public and private schools), Cainta (public schools only)
Parts of Bulacan – Calumpit (public and private schools)

Far Eastern University – Manila, Makati, and Diliman campus


Caloocan – Public schools only
Muntinlupa – Public schools only


Parts of Cavite – Tanza, Rosario
Parts of Laguna – Santa Rosa (public schools only)
Parts of Rizal – Taytay (public schools only)
