THANK YOU! Three million page views and first 100 days as a self-hosted blog!

THANK YOU! Three million page views and first 100 days as a self-hosted blog!

This is a post I should have made two days ago, but heck, what difference does it make? 😉

Last August 1, The Filipino Scribe has already reached the 3,000,000 total page views milestone. TFS first went online last March 31, 2011, which means it’s been around for 40 months now. On average, TFS now gets 70,000 views per month.

Although my blog has been receiving that much traffic since 2012 and 2013, I wasn’t able to capitalize on its popularity financially because during those years, TFS isn’t a self-hosted site yet.

I began seriously considering doing the upgrade last January although I was only able to accomplish the transition last April 20.

It’s been over 100 days since that transition and I can say that I am satisfied with the results. Despite initial hiccups (failed redirects, missing comments, etc.), the upgrade is now an unqualified success.

TFS now has a better web design as well as its own logo (created by Kenneth Surillo os KenZeroArt). Although the quality and frequency of posts has remained as before, TFS can now be described as a commercial blog.

I say that because TFS now run ads courtesy of Google Adsense, Infolinks, and Nuffnang. Rest assured, the presence of these ads does not in any way affect TFS’ content.

I want to thank all readers who helped TFS reach all these milestones. This blog won’t be as successful as it is now if not for your continued support.

Please pardon me if this post sounds like pure gloating. LOL. 🙂

PS:  The Filipino Scribe is proud to be selected as one of the online media partners of Johnnie Walker for its latest ad campaign starring Hollywood megastar Jude Law. Watch the video here.

  3. Hello Web Admin, I noticed that your On-Page SEO is is missing a few factors, for one you do not use all three H tags in your post, also I notice that you are not using bold or italics properly in your SEO optimization. On-Page SEO means more now than ever since the new Google update: Panda. No longer are backlinks and simply pinging or sending out a RSS feed the key to getting Google PageRank or Alexa Rankings, You now NEED On-Page SEO. So what is good On-Page SEO?First your keyword must appear in the title. Then it must appear in the URL.You have to optimize your keyword and make sure that it has a nice keyword density of 3-5% in your article with relevant LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing). Then you should spread all H1,H2,H3 tags in your article.Your Keyword should appear in your first paragraph and in the last sentence of the page. You should have relevant usage of Bold and italics of your keyword. There should be one internal link to a page on your blog and you should have one image with an alt tag that has your keyword….wait there’s even more Now what if i told you there was a simple WordPress plugin that does all the On-Page SEO, and automatically for you? That’s right AUTOMATICALLY, just watch this 4minute video for more information at. Seo Plugin

  4. I have been browsing online more than three hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. Personally, if all web owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the web will be much more useful than ever before.|
